Market of Choice: Hillsboro Store

Starting from architectural diagrams to a fully designed store, I led the new Hillsboro Market of Choice's store design to ensure proper branding and that unique Oregon touch was apparent in every corner. From designing and printing 80 ft long graphics, meeting with architects, interior designers, choosing paint colors, coordinating installation and pickup, working with local Oregon printers.

The most meaningful part of this project for me was collaborating with Nike Freestyle and the Doernbecher Freestyle program. The owners of Market of Choice have a long history of supporting and collecting the shoes designed by kids in the program. It’s especially personal to the Wright family because their daughter was diagnosed herself and had the opportunity to design a shoe.

While building the Hillsboro store, we discovered an unused space beneath the stairs and were given full creative freedom to transform it. After conversations with the Wright family, we decided it should become a dedicated display for these deeply meaningful pieces.

I led the project from concept through execution, working closely with Nike Freestyle, the Wright family, our architect, and security teams to create a display that felt elevated, protected, and worthy of the story behind it.
